My Question of Faith
I don't really have a good reason for not doing what probably 90% of the worlds population does: believe in a God (or Gods).
I've read that personal tragedies can make a person loose their faith, such as the death of a child, loosing your home to a natural disaster, or contracting a horrible disease. I have friends that burned out on God as a child in a heavily religious household. I also know people that found God later in life and are happier now than ever. I haven't suffered any tragedy, my parents weren't all that religious, and I don't think I'll come to believe in God later in life.
However, I feel like I'm unusually lucky, I would say blessed (if I believed that). I have a wonderful wife and three beautiful children. We're all healthy and fit. I have a job that I enjoy. We're paying off our house and state education contracts early. Many folks in my position Thank God for this.
So why don't I?
