Mental Drivers
So I'm driving to visit family for the holidays and I saw what may be historys dumbest two drivers on the road.
If you're familiar with the "mixing bowl" I-95 interchange in northern Virginia, you know that it's a somewhat intimidating mess of ramps, merges, commuters, inter-state travelers, and construction. Here's what it will look like when it's done:

So anyways I've just merged onto I-95 and there's a mini-van in the lane to my left, just in front of me. A sedan in an on-merge ramp to my right has just merged into my lane and is neck and neck with the van. Both vehicles begin to brake in what at first appears to be a contest to see who can be the nicest driver. It looked like they wanted to trade lanes as my lane was bearing right to go around the belt-way and the lane the van is in is heading for I-395 and D.C.
After a few seconds of braking both vehicles come to a stop.
Yes, they both actually stop in the middle of this mess on a busy travel weekend. Traffic immediately begins to pile up in my rear view mirror because two of the five lanes are now blocked. I find a space to pass on the right and do so, rubber-necking to see what's going on. Perhaps someone is hurt, angry, whatever.
Turns out both drivers have their windows down and are having a friendly conversation.
What-EVER, doods.
